Zagora Desert Tour
To the Zagora Desert Tour, the program begins at 8:00 a.m. from Marrakech. Start by taking the road via Ouarzazate to Zagora town. Your first stop will be at Ait Benhaddou fortress where there are stunning UNESCO World Heritage sites that you can visit.
Zagora is located six hours away from Marrakech by car. Although the journey may seem long, it offers chances for discovering Morocco’s beautiful sceneries all along the way. Upon arrival in Zagora at the end of the day; take a one hour camel ride during sunset and later have a great dinner in bivouac among Zagora dunes.

Your driver picks you up from your hotel/riad in Marrakech and begins driving southeast leaving the ocher city. After a while, you begin to ascend the Atlas Mountains and enjoy the scene of Berber villages perched in the cliffs.
A short stop at the Tichka pass for a coffee perhaps, then we will continue the road towards Agdez via Ouarzazate. You will stop for lunch and rest for a while, then we will continue through the magnificent Draa valley and its immense palm groves.
You arrive in Zagora just before sunset, you leave the 4×4 car and climb on the back of the camel waiting for you to reach the nomadic tents of the desert camp.
The second day begins with a beautiful morning sunrise then a hearty breakfast before bringing the camels back to meet the 4×4 on the asphalt road.
You return by the same route and have lunch in Ouarzazate, then visit its attractions: the impressive Taourirte Kasbah and the Cinema Museum before continuing to the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After the visit, you head back to Marrakech where your driver will drop you off wherever you want.
