Ouarzazate Day Trip from Marrakech: Welcome to the south gate and the keys to the desert “Ouarzazate” in the Draa Tafilalet region. Located at an altitude of 1,150 meters, at the confluence of the Dades and Imini wadis forming the Draa, it is the main urban center of the valley of this river.
Its countless adobe Kasbahs, arid mountains and plains, green valleys and oases, palm groves and villages of red or ocher earth make this region charming and give it its tourist appeal.
The symbol of the city is the Taourirt Kasbah which belonged to Pasha El Glaoui, it would have been built around the middle of the 18th century. It is represented in the new 50 dirham banknotes and adjoins the Medina. The Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou is a commune in Morocco located in the province of Ouarzazate.

During your Excursion to Ouarzazate and Ait-Ben-Haddou from Marrakech, you will appreciate the mountain roads, the Berber villages and the farms located on the sides. Once you arrive in the city of Ouarzazate you will have free time to eat, walk and visit the Taourirt Kasbah, located in the center of Ouarzazate where folk festivals are held.
You can also visit the cinema museum to discover why Ouarzazate is known as the “Hollywood of Africa” as well as the film studios, such as the Atlas studio.
After lunch, departure to Marrakech (around 7:00 p.m.).
